Two, three-bedroom, semi-detached houses built at Portishead were constructed for the Alliance Homes Group in North Somerset. They achieved Level 6 under the BREEAM Code for Sustainable Homes.

The houses were prefabricated timber on strip foundations, built close to trees within high shrinkable clay. The houses are airtight to the PassiveHaus standard. This, together with a high level of insulation, reduces heating requirements. 

ICC won LABC building excellence 2014 award for this project.
